Passover is Here! From Ancient Egypt to the Eternal Promise: The Pattern of the Sudden Move of God π Church, take heed! Around 3,470 years ago, a decree of death was released over the land of Egypt. Every firstborn stood under immediate judgment—no house was exempt—and in a single, terrifying night, judgment passed through the land. But for the Israelites, salvation came through a specific provision: the blood of the lamb applied to their doorposts. Fast forward 2,000 years: the true Lamb of God—the Son of God—stood in our place. He prepared to shed His blood to absorb death and judgment, not just for one nation, but for all humanity. He did not come to cover doorposts of wood, but to cover the hearts of men.
π― THE PATTERN: These two tectonic events happened under one repeating divine pattern—a sudden moment that changes everything! The third will be the Church passing over from earth to eternity in heaven!
π The Resistance of the Hardened Heart When we look back at the Exodus story, we often forget that Moses didn’t just walk in and see Pharaoh collapse. The process was long, calculated, and, from a human perspective, extremely frustrating and slow. The Strategy of Delay Pharaoh was not simply stubborn; he was strategic. He projected strength while he was weakening. He used the appearance of negotiation to buy time while calculating his next move. The Divine Pressure Ten plagues served as escalating moments of divine pressure. Each was a targeted strike against a specific "god" of Egypt—a systematic dismantling of everything they trusted in. "Against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment — I am the Lord." — Exodus 12:12
π‘ The Thing We Always Forget For 400 years, nothing seemed to be happening. Israel was enslaved, and Pharaoh was thriving. The most powerful empire on earth appeared completely untouchable. Then, in one night, everything broke at once. This is the Passover Ratio: 400 years of apparent silence, and then boom—one night of undeniable action. We mistake God's patience for absence. We mistake His timing for delay. "The Lord is not slow... instead He is patient with you... But the day of the Lord will come like a thief." — 2 Peter 3:9-10
βοΈ Jesus: Our Passover All of the plagues and the parting of the sea were merely the preview. Jesus was crucified at Passover for a reason—the timing was not accidental.
π©Έ The blood on the doorpost pointed to Christ's blood on the heart.
π The Red Sea deliverance pointed to freedom from sin and hell.
βοΈ The defeat of Egypt pointed to the shattering of principalities. π Modern Echoes Think of the systems of power in our own time. We watch regimes build proxies, develop weaponry, and drive regions toward chaos for decades. We see the world respond with diplomacy and sanctions while the threat only seems to grow. But look at the news—recently, we have seen structures that took 47 years to build begin to collapse in a shockingly short window. Passover teaches us how God deals with hardened powers that refuse to yield. He warns, He gives space, but at the appointed time—He acts! The Three Sudden Moments 1 The First Passover: Israel freed from Egypt—after 400 years—in one night. 2 The Ultimate Passover: Christ rising from the grave—after three days—conquering death. 3 The Final Fulfillment: The Church—after a long season of waiting—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye.
β‘ KEEP LOOKING UP! We sometimes feel like everything is happening for the world, while nothing is happening for us. So many "plagues," yet nothing seems to be yielding. But "in a moment" God will draw the line. Our mass exodus is coming—and it will happen suddenly. KEEP PRAYING.
KEEP PREACHING. — Come Lord Jesus Come —
